You probably already know me – I’m Mike Donahue, and I was born and raised right here in Bisbee, AZ. Main Street Bistro is my third Local Eatery. I absolutely love the art of cooking, and I am more than excited to share my recipes with you! At Main Street Bistro, I am committed to using fresh, organic ingredients from local sources and reducing the carbon footprint through recycling and utilizing compostable materials. Great patio, freshly made food. My husband and I each ordered one of the specials....an ahi tuna salad and an fried oyster mushroom with salad. Amazing flavors. Definitely recommend.
This is a long overdue review of one of the best spots in Bisbee. Let’s set the ground rules here for the rest of my review. The food is incredible, but it can sometimes be a little wait, so please don’t come in expecting immediate dishes off the line and get mad when it’s not that way. Now that that’s settled here we go.Mike has been turning out the best kale salads I’ve ever had. Local produce does in fact make a difference and the rotation of fresh salad dressings continue to have me question what my favorite one is. This kale salad has me in a choke hold and continues to have me coming back week after week. Get it, you won’t be disappointed.Main entrees are great. I’ve rotated between the chicken pesto pasta/panini, roasted carrot carbonara, meatball sub, and other rotating specials. At this point, I have full confidence in Mike’s ability to bring me anything and I will enjoy it. Always worth it, every time.If you’re lucky, you might catch when there is fresh ice cream or desserts. Usually I’m too full for this (yes the portions are fair so the negative reviews I can’t agree with), but if you have the room, do it.Main Street bistro is a continued favorite for me, my spouse, and friends who have brought. If you’re on the fence about trying it here, get off and come order a kale salad. You can thank me later.
Fantastic food and great service. The patio area is perfect for fresh air and people watching.
We had spaghetti/meatballs, and signature chicken. We had homemade ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious. Must try this place!
The food and drink were absolutely delicious. We had pita with hummus and shrimp scampi. Both were delightful. The hummus was topped with sautéed veggies like carrots and peppers. The scampi had a really beautiful hint of lemon and some fresh cut basil right out of the herb garden we ate in. The shrimp itself was extremely flavorful and the person who served us explained they had gotten it very fresh from a local dealer. You could tell the difference in quality compared to your average frozen shrimp. It took a reasonable amount of time to get our food based on only one person working and the attention and care that obviously went into our meal but I'd be mindful of that if you are in a hurry. The prices seemed very reasonable, maybe even low compared to what I'd expect in Phoenix. When we come back to Bisbee this will definitely be somewhere we look forward to returning to.
Food is amazing with great flavor. Portions a little small for some people's preference, but great for lunch. Everything seems hand made to order, so not a place if you're in a hurry.
This place was ridiculously perfect. The food was top-notch with added little flourishes that you would not expect to see in a casual diner gracing every dish. The menu was simple, but exceptionally well-executed. The owner-chef welcomed us like regular customers from the moment we walked in the door, even though it was our very first visit. We loved the retro atmosphere of the building and dining room. Literally zero complaints and all praise. Believe the hype: If you find yourself hungry anywhere near Bisbee, AZ, then the Main Street Bistro is well worth a visit…you will not be disappointed!
When we ordered, we were told a group had just put in food orders and that it “might be a wait.” We were fine with that. But after an hour, I asked how much longer it would be and the guy hadn’t even started our meal and promised us it would take 15-20 more minutes. So we waited for another 30 minutes. And still, no food.We weren’t offered more water or drink refills. Our dogs weren’t even offered water…We left $10 on the table and ended up leaving after waiting for more than 90 minutes.They were NOT busy. Multiple parties came and went while we waited for our meals.This was absolutely unacceptable and a complete waste of our time.How disappointing.
What a great find! We weren't sure what to order when we first looked at the menu but my husband and I both got the chicken bowl. It was delicious! The veggies were cooked perfectly and it was just the right amount of food. If you are in Bisbee you should definitely give Main Street Bistro a try. We've been traveling for 10 days and have eaten at many different places but the chicken bowl is the meal that I've enjoyed the most!

Our lunch was awesome. I had the chicken burrito bowl and my husband had the chicken bowl. We immensely enjoyed them! Food is locally sourced and there are vegan options
I'm naturally suspicious of things with quinoa but I've gone back twice to get the protein bowl again.... And again and again... Love this place
Adorable place and thee BEST panini I’ve ever had. And the dressing on the side salad? Ummm, I need that in a water bottle to drink! So glad we stopped here. Just wonderful.
I come here EVERY time I’m in Bisbee - I have yet to have something I don’t absolutely love and the owner Mike is wonderful. The specials are always flavorful different, and it always hits the spot. I can’t recommend this spot enough!
Mike makes everything from scratch and it’s all very tasty. Had the chicken panini, kale salad, bahn mi and meatball sub. All delicious and demolished it all. Would highly recommended when in town.
Delicious food! My mother got the falafel and said it's the best she's ever eaten. My chicken bowl was outstanding and my husband loved his pesto chicken panini. We have tried other places in town but this is the only one we've returned to.
Best and freshest food in Bisbee by far. Expect a little bit of a wait, but that's understandable since it's only 1-2 people working. Really can't recommend this place enough. Absolutely delicious food and worth taking it slow to enjoy.
Wonderful place. Owner makes everything with care. Ginger lemonade was amazing. Everything was great though.
